William Daniels Paintings and Exhibitions at Saatchi-Gallery
William Daniels was born in 1976 in their rustic beauty and Brighton.In space made exaggerated William Daniels paintings, at first glance appear to be contemporary explorations of Cubism. They are, however, impeccably produced still lifes. Daniels begins each piece by making collages immensely detailed: rebuilding art paintings of well known historical pieces of paper found, fag packs, and household products. Using these as models, he then translates each fold, frayed edge, and beveled the texture paints very realistic.
William Daniels slow pace of work from reproductions reflect how often our experience of the world are made from materials secondary and documentary sources. Daniels seems to deliberately play with the traditions of painting and the notion of the artist to present his subject. Grace his choice to paint the object Daniels often appear outdated and incongruous with the nature of modern life - as if Daniels were nostalgic for the loss of experience. Daniels paintings maintain an additional level of complexity that is derived from their appearance as faithful copies of original masterpieces.
