Is Daughtry a legitimate rock artist or a poser because he has no creative control?
I say several songs on the current release are country songs that are presented as rock. If you pay attention, it's obvious "September" and "Tennessee Line" are written as country songs. Change the instrumentation and vocals just a bit while leaving the arrangement as it is, and you have full-blown country and western music on yur hands. Listen to these songs on YouTube if you don't believe me.
i kinda liked him on american idol. but i hate the fact that he got popular BECAUSE of american idol. in the music industry (mainly pop) the singers have writers write the songs for them, and they sing it. this is same with daughtry. once on the radio, i heard the spokesmen talk about how some of his songs have the same chorus as another band (i forget who) but yes, i do think he is a poser. you can also tell how he wears eyeliner and tries to be all hardcore and stuff
