Do you think this was my mucous plug (TMI alert!)?
I'm 38+ weeks, 2 cm dilated for over a week and my husband and I just went for a walk. When I came home I went to the bathroom and I happened to look at the paper and there was this glob of very thick mucous about the size of a marble. There wasn't any blood, but it was a dark beige with some clear spots. I know not all women have this that that it doesn't necessarily mean labor is imminent but do you think it was the fabled mucous plug? I Googled a picture and it didn't quite look the same but everyone's different, I suppose.
Totally possible. Sounds like it to me. Not everyone's look the same, and no 2 (or 3 or 4) on the same woman look the same either. It doesn't have to have blood in it either. Sounds to me like you've lost it, maybe baby will come soon for you! (although like you said, that doesn't necessarily mean labor is imminent...it's definately a good start!)
